Well back again and still in the beautiful resort in the Bahamas at the time of writing.  I am at the point where I don’t want to go back home as I could get used to life very easily.  The last time I had a holiday like this was about 6 years ago and for a guy that has 2 full time jobs that is just shy of being crazy.  Time away from work is important but even more important is getting away from your other regular day to day activities.  Not that they are bad but just to step away from everything and “let go” so you can feel your body mind and soul relaxing.

OK enough of the preachy stuff and back to Blackjack.  I pointed out in my previous blog that my first experience in the Bahamian casino resulted in a couple of very important lessons.  There is more of that on the way.

So I return to the tables as confident as ever and only thinking of positive results.  I sit down at a table with 4 other people.  Like the day before, of the other 4 people only 2 knew what they were doing.  The good news is that in about 40 minutes I had earned back the credits I had lost the day before and was up another 8, so I was pretty happy.  Funny though, even though I expect success it still feels good when it comes to fruition.

Now I know some of you are saying that 8 credits are not very much but as I have stated before I am a casual player.  I do not play marathon sessions as I am too busy even on vacation where I want to totally relax and experience more of the place I am visiting.  This isn’t to assume that I do not enjoy playing Blackjack that, in itself, I find very relaxing, but it will never be the only activity in my life.

Some other interesting points.  I heard people around the table talking about how much they had lost and that they were a little shy of playing again.  But let’s face it they are on vacation trying to win by osmosis, because they certainly don’t have either the knowledge or the discipline.  I just hope that their losses haven’t destroyed their vacation.

So, what lessons could be gleamed from this experience.  Well, for starters when you play anywhere, anytime, be relaxed.  Have a positive winning attitude before you sit down and you will be more successful.  Guaranteed.

As always, ensure you know how to play the game so that you have some semblance of the proper moves to make.  Let me take that back, ensure your knowledge is such that you play the cards perfectly.  Then seek out a proper proven gameplan as I describe in my book.  You will find you will have a lot more to enjoy if you play properly.

Well, vacation coming to an end soon.  Maybe only one more time to play here and return to life in the big city.

Enjoy! Play Smart and Reap the Benefits!
