I ask this not to be insulting but to hopefully trigger something in you that may have you stop and think a little more deeply or differently than you have been.  As humans, we are influenced almost entirely by our environment.  How people are acting near us, what the newscasters are thinking or even worse what social media is trying to have us think.  When you sit back and think about it you may think that this is a little scary or better unnatural.

So, the question becomes what would make me a winner?  As with most things what is the yardstick to compare myself with?  Interesting isn’t it.  Let’s start with something very simple and general.  As you read this now would you say you are feeling great?  Are you feeling not so great?  Are you feeling bad?  Now there are many different sub-sets of this but I said we are going to keep this simple to begin.

Now before you think I should be committed to a mental health institution let me explain.  Today and possible for the first time in history we are inundated with so much information, opinions and commentaries on just about anything existing. Our lives are very, very busy and if I may say complicated.  So, if you can answer the question of how you are feeling and the answer is “I am feeling great” then I think you can call yourself a Winner.  Congratulations.

As I am sure, those reading this, realize that I have dedicated a lot of time to the playing of Blackjack and coming up with a methodology that without question works.  Does this make me a winner?  Do I have a very satisfying feeling of accomplishment concerning the game?  The answer to both of these questions is a resounding Yes.

But why?  Initially I played the game for the pure enjoyment of the experience and learning all the intricacies of the game environment.  Then my competitiveness caught fire and I wanted to ensure that I found a simple method to consistently win.  I kept detailed records of my wins and losses to ensure that I wasn’t fooling myself and that my methodology would stand up to my own critical review.  And it did.  So, mission accomplished.

I won. Now what is the next step.  I still play casually, meaning I have an extremely busy life and in my time when I am not working there is family time, personal time to move my body through exercise as I know I enjoy it, personal time to read positive material or just an interesting book, watch some sports and also a little blackjack time.  I have goals concerning my time at the tables and they are two-fold.

Number 1 is, Am I playing my methodology perfectly?   The answer is a resounding YES.  Number 2 is a financial goal through my blackjack activity which I will not devolve as it is personal.  It is a longer goal that I set annually based on the expected number of tables that I play.  So, the answer to this one is YES as well as by doing the first one the second one is guaranteed.
